Zwei Performer*innen stellen sich einem absurden Test, der sich zu verschieben und zu verändern scheint, während sie sich durch ihn hindurch arbeiten. Fragmente einer Sprachlektion. Fragen aus einem Persönlichkeitsquiz. Slogans aus einer zukünftigen Gesellschaft. Die Darsteller*innen lachen, zögern, bitten um mehr Zeit. Der Test geht weiter. Während die Uhr tickt, ist es nicht einmal sicher, wer die Versuchspersonen sind: das Publikum oder die Performer*innen..
Das komische und verworrene „If All Else Fails“ ist eine neue Zusammenarbeit zwischen Forced Entertainment aus Sheffield und dem Tänzer/Macher/Choreografen Seke Chimutengwende. Das Stück wird von Chimutengwende und Cathy Naden, einer der Gründerinnen der Gruppe, aufgeführt und ist ein Dialog aus Sprache und Bewegung, Fragen und Antworten.
„If All Else Fails“ basiert auf dem gemeinsamen Interesse der Künstler*innen an der Improvisation und an der Schaffung komplexer, komischer und instabiler Aufführungssituationen. Das Stück bringt zwei starke Akteure der zeitgenössischen Theaterszene zusammen, um eine verblüffende und originelle Erkundung von neuen Wegen zu schaffen.

About Forced Entertainment (eng): Forced Entertainment is an ensemble of six artists founded in 1984 and based in Sheffield. Touring and presenting their ground-breaking provocative performances across the UK, mainland Europe, North America, Japan, Australia and further afield, the group have sustained a unique collaborative practise for almost forty years.
